AEMS current Board vacancies are listed below.

AEMS is currently accepting nominations for 1 AEMS Board of Governors seat AND 1 EMS related **State Committee (BEMSTS) Representative Nominees.

The election for the below vacancies will occur during the AEMS Board of Governors meeting on August 17.

Interested applicants must complete the appropriate nomination form by August 15 to be included on the ballot.


*AEMS Board of Governors Vacancies:

  • One Representatives from Public Employer of Emergency Medical Care Technicians (EMCTs, from Political Subdivision of Population between 50,000 and 500,000)

  • Trauma & EMS Performance Improvement (TEPI) Committee - Ground Ambulance or First Responder Premier EMS Agency - Central Region Representative

*For AEMS Board of Govenors Vacancies:

Trauma Center refers to State of Arizona Designated Level 1 or Level 2 facility providing enhanced trauma care, and categorized as such.

Non-Trauma Center refers to a facility that is not a State of Arizona Designated Level 1 or Level 2 Trauma Center.

Administration means an individual that has programmatic responsibilities and budgetary authority.

If a position involves a recommendation by a professional association, we do require a letter from the association acknowledging your nomination.

**For State Committee (Central Region Nominee) Vacancies:

AEMS selects the best person based on merit AND to serve as our recommended candidate. Interested representatives are expected to be active with AEMS.

State has final approval of the candidate selected to serve in these positions.

STAB position appointed by AZDHS Director. EMS Council positions appointed by Governor.

Protocols, Medications, and Devices Committee positions appointed by the BEMSTS Medical Director.
